This rule, first proposed in June 2022, updates the regulations implementing Title IX, which were last amended in May 2020. To ensure compliance by that deadline, EOATIX will be carefully reviewing the final rule and amending our Sexual and Gender-Based Misconduct Policy and Procedures accordingly.
Dartmouth's Equal Opportunity, Accessibility, and Title IX Office is reviewing the updated Title IX final rule released today by the U.S. Department of Education. This rule, first proposed in June 2022, updates the regulations implementing Title IX, which were last amended in May 2020. Although these amended regulations were released April 19, 2024, they don't take effect until August 1, 2024. To ensure compliance by that deadline, EOATIX will be carefully reviewing the final rule and amending our Sexual and Gender-Based Misconduct Policy and Procedures accordingly. More information will be shared with the Dartmouth community in summer 2024.
